Eagles Strength & Conditioning 


Strength & Conditioning begins on Monday, June 20, 2016 and continues throughout the season. A completed Application for Athletic Participation (AAP) must be turned in and the student registered at Brandon High School prior to participating in any Organized Team Activity (OTA).


Varsity Eagleswill participate in Strength & Conditioning after school on Monday & Wednesday


All JV Eagles will participate in Strength & Conditioning at the direction of the JV Head Coach


Required Equipment for Strength & Conditioning


  • White T-Shirt (no logos or any markings)
  • Black Shorts (no stripes, logos or any markings)
  • Socks must be of uniform color (grey, black or white)
  • Closed toed sneakers with laces for Strength & Conditioning (no slides, flip-flops, or other non-athletic shoes)
  • Football cleats with laces (no neon colors allowed - must be Brandon colors: Black, Grey, White &/or Maroon)
  • Mouthpiece for 7v7
  • No personal music devices &/or headphones allowed during Strength & Conditioning sessions
  • It is highly recommended each player bring a gallon of water, but not required
    • ​Water breaks will be provided and all players will have access to team provided fluids

Application for Athletic Participation (AAP) Forms


All athletes must complete an AAP to participate on school athletic teams; these forms are required by the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and the School District of Hillsborough County (SDHC) Athletic Department.​


All forms must be completed and turned in to the coach of the sport participating prior to the Student-Athlete participating in Strength & Conditioning, practices and games.


A Student-Athlete may participate in sports across all seasons (Fall, Winter and Spring) through the submission of one AAP; however, the AAP must be submitted to the coach of the first team the Student-Athleteintends to participate in Organized Team Activities (OTA).


Every Student-Athlete must have a cumulative 2.0 un-weighted GPA to be eligible for athletic participation. GPA is based on the 2015-2016 academic school year.


Each packet must include a PROOF OF RESIDENCY, INSURANCE and PROOF OF COMPLETION OF 'CONCUSSION IN SPORTS' video.

The AAP includes:


  • EL3 (6 pages)
  • Physical Evaluation (good for 1 year from the date of the examination) *must be on the official EL2 form*
  • Medical Release (2 copies required with original signatures and notarized)
  • Payment of Fines Agreement
  • Media Release
  • GA4 - (Must be notarized)
  • Parental Permission to Release Student Data
  • Each Student-Athlete must watch the video 'CONCUSSION IN SPORTS' and complete the online test. The video and test can be accessed at www.nfhslearn.com (Each Student-Athlete must printo out a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION).
  • Each Student-Athlete must provide Proof of Residency (Current Utility Bills with parent/guardian's name and address matching the address the student is currently registered to for school enrollment). *Originals only, photocopies will not be accepted - originals will be returned by the coach*
  • Every Student-Athlete is required to purchase supplemental insurance via www.HCPSathleticprotection.com (print out confirmation of purchase and submit with AAP)
    • Each insurance purchase requires a money order made payable to the School Insurance of Florida be attached to the AAP (Checks or Cash are not acceptable means of payment)
